This page contains information about the data we may collect from you and how we will use and share that information.

The Holiday File.com is owned and operated by Marketing Travel Ltd. The site only provides users with holiday information provided by its travel partners. We do not take holiday bookings or transact with you in any way.

We may however, collect information when someone visits The Holiday File.com or subscribes to our newsletter.

The only personal data we will collect from you is your email address or your postal address and your preferred holiday categories, but only when you sign up to our newsletter, or ask a holiday provider to send you holiday information, or you sign up to their database, should you choose to do this. If you should do this, from time to time we will send you relevant holiday offers via email or our travel provider partners will send you the information you have requested according to your preferences. You can un-subscribe to this at any time and we will stop emailing you Nobody else will recieve the information you provide. We may use an outside, third party company to send our emails, but we will remain the data controller and the third party will be the data processor – as defined by data protection legislation. In this situation, it is possible that the data may be processed outside the countries of the European Union.

We also monitor all traffic to the site and the pages a visitor will view, but we take no steps to identify who the web site user is or collect or save any personal data in this process. We simply compile anonymous reports showing the following:-

This provides us with important marketing information and the data is also collected for internal financial and accounting reasons. We will share these reports with our holiday company providers and our marketing partners. However, an individual user is never identified personally.

We may collect information through the use of third-party web analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to provide information such as the number of visits to a particular page or the amount of time spent on a website. No personal data is stored by us in this process.

We may gather tracking information about visitors to the holidayfile.com including their Internet protocol (I.P) address, the referring url bringing them to this site, the pages viewed on this site and any actions taken whilst on the site, for example brochure requests, clickthroughs or mailing list signups. This data is only used for our own internal accounting, as well as marketing and administrative reasons.

The Holiday File.com contains links to several different holiday providers. These holiday companies will have their own privacy policy which will govern any information which you provide to them. Marketing Travel Ltd does not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy and data practices of any such third party.

If ever requested, we will share your data if required to do so by law, or it has been requested by any authority with the right to do so.

We will not share your data with any other third parties. We fully believe we have appropriate security systems in place to protect your data from unauthorised access.

You have the right to access any personal data we hold. You can request that we delete or update the information we hold. Any such requests should be emailed to unsubscribe@marketingtravel.co.uk.
